Colin has been employed within the hospitality industry for some 33 years. He moved from country New South Wales to pursue a career in cooking at the age of 16, and after serving his apprenticeship, worked in various restaurants in the positions of Chef and Executive Chef.
In 1990, Colin joined the Contract Catering Industry, taking on various Operations positions throughout the country including business and industrial, residential schools, universities and colleges and retirement and aged care.
Within these positions, in addition to overall operational management of the contracts, his responsibilities included organising functions and events throughout a range of industry sectors.
In 1996 Colin was appointed Function Co-ordinator at the Sydney Town Hall. During 1997 he was appointed General Manager (Shareholder/Director) of Independent Foods and was responsible for the overall management of a large food production kitchen, whose clientele included various airlines, including Ansett Australia.
In 2002 Colin sold his share in that organisation and became New South Wales State Manager with Cater Care Australia, moving to Queensland in January 2003 to take up the position of Queensland State Manager, before later stepping into the role of National Operations Manager in July 2006.
Colin’s vast and valuable experience provides Cater Care Australia with a manager who has now proven his capability to oversee all of our national operations and with the continued growth in the company’s operations, Colin was appointed General Manager Operations in July 2007 and on to his current role as Chief Operating Officer in August 2009.
