Multicultural Policy

Cater Care owes its success to the efforts of a diverse, multicultural workforce. As an organisation, and as individuals, we embrace our responsibility to promote equal opportunity employment and anti-discrimination policies.

Employees at Cater Care are provided with an enriching employment experience, backed up by individual recognition and reward programs. Every day we see the benefits of this policy, as we interact with clients and customers, integrate with communities, and embrace colleagues from different cultures.

Catering for diversity

Determining the cultural, religious, accommodation and dietary requirements of different customer groups is crucial. For this reason, we hold planning meetings with our clients to ensure that their preferences are reflected in our food preparation, work premises design and shift scheduling.

We’ll also enquire about their organisation’s policy towards indigenous and multicultural employment, making sure to support their goals in these areas.

Site visits and regular food forums are held with client and customer representatives to ensure that we are meeting the needs of all our customer groups. By presenting regular opportunities for face-to-face feedback and ongoing improvement, we move one step closer to the exemplary customer service we aspire to.

In many remote communities, we work closely with the local indigenous employer representatives to recruit workers that can bring local knowledge to our sites and reflect the population balance in the local community.
