Our training programs
We offer apprenticeships in a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. Many of our long-serving staff members completed their apprenticeships with us and moved on to qualified chef positions. Some have continued to progress to chef manager and site manager roles. We also support mature-age apprenticeships.
We offer internships at our head offices for students as part of their university studies. Many of our interns gained a permanent full time position with us after they graduated.
Our induction provides important resources and training on food safety, safety health and the environment, customer service, environmental essentials, and diversity and cultural awareness. Everyone receives an Employee Handbook that outlines our company policies, procedures, and terms and conditions of employment.
Our technical development training includes community topics, food safety, first aid, nutrition and hydration for aged care, forklift, responsible service of alcohol and software programs.
We offer many professional development training courses for our employees including Certificate IV in Frontline Management, Diploma in Hospitality, and programs in leadership, emotional intelligence, time management, management fundamentals, effective communication, conflict resolution and effective teams.

We conduct a training needs analysis and then tailor a personal development plan for each staff member.
